Prayer for April 2014

Our loving Father, hear us, as we bow before You with our prayers.  Our prayers are for our world.  We pray for Crimea, Ukraine and Syria.  We think of families torn apart by conflict.  Father, hear us, we pray for all those who have lost relatives and friends in the recent Malaysian Air disaster - be very near to them at this time and we pray that You will keep the rescue workers safe as they perform their sad task.

We pray Father, that peace may reign throughout Your World.  May the swords be beaten into ploughshares and spears into pruning hooks, and man study war no more.  We pray for ourselves, Dear God.  From all that diminishes us from the power of Your forgiveness, forgive us Lord.  We ask Your comforting hand on the lonely and the lost.  May they come to know they are not alone, You are with them, around and about them for all time.  These and all the unspoken prayers of our hearts, we ask in the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and for His sake.
